Dr. Ahmed Amdihun

Dr. Ahmed Amdihun heads the Disaster Risk Management programme at the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). He has more than 12 years of experience in disaster risk reduction, environmental systems modelling, spatial planning and analysis, and capacity development. Before joining IGAD, he held various positions with national and international organisations, including the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), and Addis Ababa University, where he served as an Assistant Professor.
