The Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chain Initiative (SASI) works at the intersection of trade, environmental governance and rural livelihoods. Their work focuses on issues such as deforestation-free supply chains, due diligence and responsible sourcing in global agricultural markets. Within SASI, they engage with actors from politics, business and civil society to strengthen sustainability standards and support the practical implementation of emerging EU regulations. SASI provides a platform for research, dialogue and collaboration aimed at making agricultural supply chains more environmentally sustainable and socially just. Through its work, SASI highlights the connections between international trade policies and the everyday realities of producers and communities at the beginning of supply chains. The initiative contributes to efforts to make agricultural value chains greener, fairer and more inclusive.
